The game is visually very polished with lots of details and quite impressive effects. It features a deep, immersive gameplay with lots of twists and details to be aware of, in the context of an intriguing story. It's 1931 and Tom learns that a diamond called the Ruby Heart, was stolen from the Bristol Musem. This event coincides with the appearance of a ghost reported at the Caldwold Manor, so he starts an investigation to find out the possible connections between these events. The adventure starts in the manor, where Tom and his sister will have to explore the rooms while solving puzzles and hidden object levels that may give them some clues. For that, you need to hover the mouse over a scene and search for glowing areas, as these will reveal the tasks you have to complete. These mainly involve finding a number of hidden objects, solving a mini game, getting some artifacts for your inventory, and using them to get your tasks done. Most of the time you will have to go through the different rooms or scenes, revisiting locations to pick an object or solve a puzzle. The key point in the game is not to leave any part of a scene unexplored, as even the most insignificant object may be hiding valuable information.
The story throughout the game develops through dialogs between the characters, and in that way you will learn what to do at all times. Additionally, it has two game modes, casual for novice players, and advanced for expert HOG gamers.
